ECONOMY

        Agriculture was the main economy source in Mesopotamia. Sumerian people were very skillful and knowledgeable in irrigation and produced cereals and fruits in large scale.

       Most of the land being distributed to the huge farms and owned by kings, priest, army officer. Plaughing of cereals (oat) and  Dates (kurma) were being implemented extensively in farms according to several phases.

       Commerce and trade was their second main economy. Commerce and trade relationship with the nearby countryside and agriculture product as well as their crafts were changed with other stuffs such as metal and timber.

       Trading, industrial, and banking were controlled by the rules enacted by the government. The selling aggreement which made without written contract or without witness would be sentence to death.
